What we’ve done

    Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines. Red is only used for emergencies, and always with words.

    Every menu, form and button can be reached and used without a mouse, with a visible outline.

    Zoom and resize

    Pages reflow when you zoom to 200% or use a phone, without sideways scrolling.

    Photos are described

    Photos have descriptions for screen readers. Decorative images are skipped.

    Clear forms

    Every field has a label, errors are explained in words and nothing times out.

    Animations calm down when your device asks for reduced motion.

Our standard and how we test

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We check pages with automated tools and by hand: keyboard only, zoomed in to 200% and with a screen reader .

What we know isn’t perfect yet

We’d rather tell you than have you find out the hard way.

  • NoteThe Google map on our estimate form and Service Areas page can be hard to use with a screen reader. You can always type your address instead, or call us.
  • NoteOur financing partner’s application is on their site, which we don’t control.
  • NoteSome older project photos may have short descriptions. We’re adding better ones as we go.
